SPH Seed Moisture Content Conversion Table
This table gives a clear understanding of the relationship between absolute moisture content (AV) and relative moisture content (RH) of different seed crops, the equilibrium moisture content.
In Seed Processing seed drying plants, the incoming and outgoing air flows (under the seed bed and after the seed bed) are measured with Relative Humidity (RH) meters during the drying process.
The table allows you to convert the relative humidity to absolute moisture content. A common desired final value after a drying process is 30% RH. You can see that for every seed crop the RH is different. A well controlled drying process promotes the quality and storability of your valuable seeds.
